Affirmative action has negative effects as well. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it. But white people abuse it.

As a government contractor, I can't count how many times the government would say, "well we've met our minimum of Latino contractors," leaving us unable to entertain the prospect of getting even a piece of a particular project. I've heard the same from Black contractors as well. White contractors still get the bulk of the work and it's typically the big money-making work at that.

I'm sure it's similar across the spectrum. We need measures in place to prevent abuses like this.
