Despite my having friends and family in the Northeast impacted by Ida, I knew right away that the media would stop focusing on Louisiana (where I also have a ton of friends). It's even more evident when the "news" presents a narrative suggesting things are fine in the South, thus, opening the door to change direction on their reporting. They don't even try to hide it anymore.
