Steve Bannon wasted no time invoking far-right stupidity in trying to incite conservatives
Former Trump advisor Steve Bannon was released from prison on Tuesday and immediately began invoking similar rhetoric to that which incited the attempted coup of the U.S. government on January 6, 2020. His press briefing upon being released attempted to draw support for himself by claiming to be a victim of a Democrat-run deep state.
From pushing the “Kamala Harris the border czar” nonsense to invoking the “illegal alien criminals” propaganda he wasted no time employing hyperbolic rhetoric. While he claim to speak up for Black people and Latinos, he employed the standard racist dog whistles as he tried to draw attention from what many are calling Trump’s Nazi rally in New York City just days earlier.
Not surprisingly, he tried to use the widely debunked argument that immigrants are creating higher housing prices and driving down wages. Meanwhile, he spent more time arguing that his podcast, “The War Room” isn’t a podcast but a TV show while bouncing back and forth complaining about California Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Attorney General Merrick Garland.
