I know how you feel…

I sort of had a similar experience. I grew up in a deeply faithful Catholic family. Myself and my siblings are first-generation Hispanic-Americans. All of our elders had their devout faith from the ‘old-country’, and were very involved with the church.

I was never comfortable in church as a kid, maybe it was that particular church. Then again, maybe not. I remember always having tons of questions that didn’t make sense to me. Yet no one would give me an answer that I found satisfactory.

It felt too much like blind faith, so to speak. Needless to say, when I got older I stopped going.

Long story short…

After leaving the church and all its ‘shenanigans’ over 20 years ago. I am now a much more enlightened Buddhist…
