I try to avoid the use of heritage on its own. I use qualifiers because it feels like a dog whistle for "white power" otherwise and I hate that. I will admit, even saying "cultural heritage," as I often do when referring to honoring our ancestors (another topic of contention when it comes to white folks), it still feels cringe.
