Pawlie’s in the Clink

“Paul Manafort is doing such a wonderful job.” - Donald Trump
The former campaign chair of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has been jailed for violating the terms of his bond.
Manafort, who is facing a host of charges stemming from the special counsel’s investigation into Russian influence on the Trump campaign, was caught using encrypted messaging services to influence potential witnesses in the case(s) against him.
Witness tampering.
Manafort who has professed his innocence countless times actually thought he wouldn’t get caught tampering with witnesses in the midst of a federal investigation.
Like a typical white-collar criminal he assumed his punishment would be no worse than a slap on the wrist with a potentially large monetary fine for his actions. But these are not typical, slap on the wrist, type of crimes.
Now he sits in jail.
Where he should be.
Most Americans saw how he was being treated and thought, “none of us would be treated that good for simple petty crimes. Yet here he is sitting at home chillin’.”
While that’s very true, you have to acknowledge the beauty of how Muller’s team is handling these folks. Playing mind games and having them sweat and think about what to expect from being thrown in jail.
Manafort surely thought there was a chance of him avoiding jail, but those of us out here knew. We knew he was being played. That kind of stress can seriously impact someone psychologically. That’s what Mueller is counting on.
Mueller knows damn good and well that he needs Manafort to flip, and the best way to do that is to put him in a corner that he cannot escape. Today, he accomplished that.
If Paulie hasn’t flipped on someone yet, he’s likely to do it now. I can promise you one thing with the utmost certainty, Manafort probably shit himself in the holding tank during the booking process.
Especially in the D.C. City Jail.
He more than likely will not spend too much time in the general population of whatever jail he’s in, but he’s still sleeping on a steel or concrete bed with a mat for a mattress and a combination stainless steel toilet and sink.
He will also be eating jail food.
He’ll be wearing a jail house jumpsuit. A far cry from those seven-thousand dollar suits he’s known for wearing.
At his age, after a life of getting away with so much, he’s finally seeing what the other side of our system of justice looks like.
And it’s about time.
If we can treat children like animals and lock them in cages for nothing more than being a kid, then Manafort deserves every bit of what he’s getting.
After all, he was directly responsible for getting Trump elected knowing exactly what he was like. None of Trump’s history bothered him one bit.
Even going so far as to commit criminal and unethical acts while working with a foreign adversary to get it done.
Manafort also hand-picked Mike Pence to be Donald Trump’s running mate.
Now, here we are.
His lack of integrity and moral bankruptcy allowed him to be the point man for Trump without conscience.
That in itself, is a crime against humanity.
See ya’ Pawlie!
