Simple answer. No. That's a common misconception. Truth is, a lot of Latin American migrants are Black, Mulatto, or Indigenous. Then, add asylum-seekers from Haiti and other predominantly Black countries and the migrant population is very diverse. Looking at the access provided to white Cubans, for example, compared to Haitians being sent back to Haiti in droves, you begin to see the implicit bias and prejudices within the asylum-seeking process. Not to mention how Ukrainians and many Russians were given priority over non-white migrants who have been waiting for years.
