So sorry to hear about this. I've had similar experiences because I'm bilingual and always advocated for non-English-speaking workers. It's cost me jobs in conservative (and racist) work environments more than once. The setups were identical to yours. Your article exposes a pattern of behavior that's exploited and weaponized against non-white staff in nearly every work environment to get "undesirables" out of the way. It's more common than most care to admit.
