This, to me, is one of the most important reasons to keep putting my work (calling out bigotry in the Latino community out there). I believe that exposing those kids to different viewpoints and different cultures is critical in addressing the biases within the Latino community.

I come from a family that is very diverse with many that are Black Latinos, so I know all about the racism that exists in our community. You will find different types of racism in every Latino community, even Cubans. We need more people addressing it on a broader scale. Just like we do with the systemic racism in America.

It’s all equally important.
