Trump Plans Long Vacation Because Being President Is Hard

According to an FAA advisory, it appears that Donald Trump will be on vacation for 17 days in August. Chilling at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

White House correspondent, Zeke Miller, from TIME Magazine highlighted the FAA notice via Twitter. It was issued on Wednesday declaring that flight restrictions will be in place over the area from August 3rd through the 20th due to Trump’s presence.

Six months in office.

17 day vacation.

After roughly 180 days since he took office, he’s visited a Trump property for all or part of 53 days. He profits from the taxpayer dollars that fund these excursions that have cost about $20 million so far according to CNN.

Before you Trumpers start bringing the hate, let me remind you of another one of his failed promises:

"I would rarely leave the White House because there’s so much work to be done. I would not be a president who took vacations. I would not be a president that takes time off."

What’s that?

Not a failed promise you say? Okay, well perhaps you prefer to call it a lie. No? Not a lie either? Okay, then call it hypocrisy if you want to. It doesn’t matter to me what you call it.

Not one bit.

Be advised, that you die-hard "he can do no wrong" Trumpers are starting to sound foolish. For example, claiming he’s done more in six months than Obama did in eight years has to be the most outlandish claims of all.

Look, I get that you voted for him. I even understand your logic behind why you still support him. Despite all his hateful rhetoric and bigotry, he’s still your guy. It’s not just about standing behind your vote, it’s also about denying he’s any of the things he’s made himself out to be.

It’s your pride.

And it's fucking with you.

Stand behind him if you want to. Again, it really doesn’t matter to me. The least you should do is call him out when he goes back on his promises, his hypocrisy, and any other time he’s let you down. I know he pisses you off. Why not let him know when he does?

I know you don't want to admit to or say anything regarding your displeasure with the man you had hope for. After all, that's a tough pill to swallow.

But I know you're thinking it.

I know he’s upset his most loyal supporters at some point or another. It’s as obvious as the moon is bright. Looking back at all the policies and ideas that he promised, most of which he was certain would be implemented by now, he has accomplished very little.

Which brings me back to the lie about not having the time to golf because he would be too busy working for you. Not only has he played more golf and cost taxpayers more money than any other President in recent memory. But now he’s taking a 17 day vacation too? Damn.

That's gotta piss you off.

No?

I call bullshit.

When the White House tries to preempt criticism about his extended vacation, it’s because they know it’s coming and they are starting to worry that you Trumpers are going to turn on them. It’s a concern that grows with every passing day, every failed policy, every broken promise, every single lie. It’s inevitable and they know it.

It comes as no surprise that it was Nazi sympathizer Sebastian Gorka who came out ahead of time to argue that Trump was entitled to this extended time off because he has been “crushing it” in the presidency.

See? See what I'm talking about?

He's entitled because he's crushing it.

It's total bullshit. Listen to me Trumpers, what he just did is called gaslighting, and they are using it on you. I know it, the whole world knows it, the people around you know it, and it's only a matter of time before you see it.

Let me ask you this.

Are you currently just waiting to attack anyone who might criticize this vacation if it happens?

Yes?

Then it's working.

Look on the bright side, Trump will be too involved playing golf that he probably won’t bother with trying to undermine our democracy for two weeks in August. There is that.
