U.S. State Department Announces Up To $1 Billion in Weapons for Ukraine

As if it were waiting for the starting gun at a track meet, the United States moves at break-neck speed to send weapons to Ukraine

Not wasting any time in providing weapons to war-torn countries, as the United States so often does, the Department of State (State) issued a press release announcing up to $1 billion in weapons, armored vehicles, and equipment for Ukraine in support of its defense against the current Russian invasion.

The statement from Secretary Antony Blinken through the Office of the Spokesperson provided little detail aside from the insistence on continuing to promote war.

“Following [the] passage of the national security supplemental, the United States is today announcing a significant new package of weapons and equipment for Ukraine to support the brave Ukrainian people as they defend their country and their freedom against Russia’s aggression.

“This package, which is valued at up to $1 billion, includes urgently needed capabilities including air defense missiles, munitions for HIMARS, artillery rounds, armored vehicles, precision aerial munitions, anti-armor weapons, and small arms, equipment, and spare parts to help Ukraine defend its…
