You can’t forget that a good portion of his Latino base is evangelical and very anti-abortion. Some support him solely based on “the horror” of voting for a pro-choice Democrat.
You were right about Cubans in Miami though (I’m Cuban). I can’t be pro-Trump like many Cubans are.
But each group in the Latino community have their own reasons for supporting who they support.
For example, Puerto Ricans worry about the politics of the island more so than others and that impacts their political beliefs.
Latinos support Republicans for reasons that can’t be explained in binary terms. Much of our politics also involve how the U.S. interacts with Latin America and that helps dictate support either party/candidate as well.
It’s complicated. We’re complicated.
